Peggy and Pam reside in the Gig Harbor area and recently discovered the art and intrigue of color. Peggy, a talented seamstress, and Pam, a fiber enthusiast, have always enjoyed how colors create just the right look! In 2012 they began combining their talents to form beautiful silk creations and Two Chicks Dyeing "came to life".

Silk Scarves stretched on frames for painting If it's silk, we dye it! Silks are durable, versatile, soft, shiny and beautiful. They are as individual and unique as you are!

Each article begins as a plain white “blank” of 100% silk. Several methods are used including scrunching, folding, and stretching on frames to paint. Various types of resist are used to keep the dye from ‘flowing’ to areas that that color is not wanted. Some techniques encourage dye to flow while others push the dye away from an area. When used in concert with one another, these methods produce unique, one of a kind fashion art.

Our items are multi-purpose. Scarves can be worn as a belt, headband, sash on your purse, hang in a window, as a wall hanging, or dress up a table. They can wrap packages, tie in bows, adorn a flower arrangement. Uses are limited only to your imagination!

Play Silks & Baby Silks can be used as blankets, capes, curtains, doll carriers, costumes, flags, walls for forts, table toppers, puppetry, tents, angels, capes and more. Play Silks support children's natural, imaginative play. Being simpler and better makes them more versatile than most toys.

Our Bags add a beautiful finishing touch to your one of a kind gift. Use them for a bottle of fine wine, liqueur, infused oils & vinegars, an assortment of lotions or bath items, or for packing fine lingerie for a romantic weekend.

We hand paint scarves, veils, and gift bags; play silks for children; dance accessories and quilting fabrics matched to your color specifications.
